Summer Drive Supports “Share Your Soles”
THG is proud to have wrapped up its August charity drive to support Share Your Soles. Share your soles is an organization dedicated to providing shoes to those in the third world. Our regional efforts entailed facilitating a shoe drive at our North American Headquarters at Chicago’s NBC Tower. All together we collected over 200 pairs of shoes.
Since 1999 Share Your Soles has delivered tens of thousands of pairs of shoes to desperately impoverished people throughout the world. Share Your Soles began when founder Mona Purdy traveled through Central America, and saw children painting tar on the soles of their bare feet, due to lack of shoes, in order to prevent disease. Share your soles is a nongovernmental organization with no ties to other aid organizations, they are truly only in existence to make life a little easier for those that they serve.

It has strong backing from companies ranging from American Airlines to FedEx, with a select group of board members including our Secretary of State Jesse White. With the contribution power of close to 200 employees in our Chicago office, there was no question we would want to support an Illinois based charity with a global reach .” said Jon Stromberg, CEO of THG Sports North America.
